In May this year Dave and I went to Ibiza for a friends 50th, we couldn’t stay long but we made the most of it. Hiring a little scooter which meant even though the weather was lovely we were generally a little on the chilled side, we explored everywhere! We found some really gorgeous and quite out the way little coves and beaches in the north, an amazing spot for lunch; Sa Palmera in Santa Agnès de Corona, full of locals just taking a leisurely lunch, it was super cheap especially compared to the southern part of the island.
It was this trip that inspired me to take a yoga retreat to Ibiza, there is so much more to it than clubs and hedonism although that’s there if you want it! One of the hidden northern beaches we loved was Es Portitxol, it was a bit of trek to get down there but, breathtaking when we arrived, crystal water, no body around only a couple of little fishing huts. We also loved Cala Xarraca, situated in the north not far from Portinax, and so this is where we found our lovely villa for the retreat in October.
